That's a shark fin antenna. Unlike the flashlights that actually have some use, this is purely cosmetic.My car's stock antenna was this 1.5ft long boingy stick thing. Here's a picture of my car stock showing it.

I guess I can use my old antenna as a pointing stick... or something.
My shark fin isn't perfectly centered... or parallel.. then again, I don't think anyone else's is, and no one can tell anyways. It still bugs me though. I'll find some other day to reattach it better.
