easter at vons

Todays the first time I had an earlier shift! :D Horrible timing too. There was a nice big mob of people come in right when my shift started (apparently church just got out). But after they left, it was pretty chill. Apparently, one customer per 10 minutes is pretty normal, so, all the days I've worked so far would've been considered "very busy" days.

After lunch though, store got a lot busier, and I was on carts duty again. Wasn't too bad today, cept the 80 degrees sun, but the breeze made up for it. Managed to avoid customers with big big orders by staying outside running around gathering carts. Few more things I learned about them today (part two of spawns of the devil. dun dun dun!): Customers like to use them as trash cans. If they showed personal information on receipts, I would be the best identity thief ever. Also, if they're not perfectly aligned when you try to stick them together, they just clank, and usually, one of them gets pushed away. Plus side to all this is that my boss gave me the OK to wear running shoes to work cause I have to pull carts. NO MORE DRESS SHOES. weeeeeeee.

Oh, and I managed to sneak out right when the store got really really busy. Why wouldn't I? My shift technically ended 15 minutes ago, and once shift ends, I want out. Kinda sucks for everyone else though, since when I left, I was the only bagger up front. Yup. Bag your own groceries! oh well.
