HJ: They made the starting height 5'8" (instead of 5'). The average of the finalist had a PR of 5'6" (myself included). Well, 8 of the 12 got eliminated right at the beginning because they couldn't clear the opening height. They also went berserk and bonkers at the outrageous starting height, just like everyone else, just even more so. I managed to clear (new PR :D). Then was left with the best high jumpers of the remaining schools that jump 6'-ish. So I got 4th, but I PRed. Didn't expect to win, expected to PR. Everything here went according to plan.
TJ: On the other hand, my triple was horrible. 36'10" at best. Winning jump was 40'8". If i had a good day, I probably could've beaten that, and I planned on having a good day and planning on winning this, but I didn't. Oh well. Guess I didn't take into account that I would be tired at the end of the day, and still weak from prelims.
It's still fun though. From now on I'm just a spectator.
