So on my way home, I see flashing lights behind me. I think it's an ambulance or fire truck so I changed out of the inner most lane. It follows me. So I go out another lane. Then it goes out another one and a half lane. Now I'm trying to figure out if it wants to pass or if it's the police (it was only red lights). Then a few seconds later it turns on it's siren and, yeah, police, so I pull over at the curb.
The first thing he says to me is, "did you not see the flashing lights, you're supposed to pull over faster." Why yes, I did see the flashing lights, I saw you turn them on and I changed lanes right when you did. If you wanted me to do a 5 lane merge immediately, I'm sorry, I do try to check if it's safe before I merge. Consider using your siren if you really wanted to pull me over 10 seconds faster.
Then comes the fun part. He asks me, "how close were you following the car in front of you?" Err... 3-4 car's length, cause that's how far away I normally follow cars, its close enough so people don't merge in front of me, but far enough for me to react. So I respond, "about 3 car's length." His response? "Oh....... license and registration please. Did you know how fast you were going?" Yes, I did, it was about 70-75, cause that's how fast the car I was following for the past 10-15 minutes was going. But hey, I responded with, "No, how fast?" and the rest of the conversation went like this..
Is this your current address?
Yes.
Walnut?
Yes.
Where are you headed?
Walnut.
Ok.
So he goes back there, and 5-7 minutes later, he comes back and goes, "Well, you have two moving violations, you were following too close to be safe, and, you were speeding, but I only wrote you up for speeding." So I ask him, "How fast was I going?" His responce? "Oh.. a little over 80 back there for a little bit when you tried to pass a car in the second lane".
Was I going a little over 80? Yes, probably for a few seconds at some point in time. Everyone on the freeway goes about 80 and I passed the car going 60 in the fast lane. What the hell. So yeah, I get pulled over for traveling the same speed as 10 other cars near me, and the guy next to me was tailgating the guy in front of him trying to pass me and the car in front of me. Thanks for BSing some reason to pull me over just to meet your month end quota. I'll see you in court, after I make you write an essay 2 months from now trying to defend your case against with me without use of a radar gun. Oh, and of course, if I have to appeal, I'll appeal to a court near Santa Barbara, or Walnut. It's a 1.5 hour drive either way.
If all else fails, traffic school fun.
rain and 5-gallon water bottles
So it rained pretty hard this weekend, and I decided, well, my car is filthy, might as well wash it while it's raining. So I backed my car straight out of the garage (which, btw, looks hilarious cause it's perpendicular to the actual driveway), grabbed a terry cloth, and started wiping it down in the rain.
It was great and all, the rain rinsed away the dirt and grime while I wiped it down... and people driving by had the most WTF expressions on their face; why did he back his car out of the garage like that, why is he washing his car in pouring rain, and woah that's one huge puddle I just went over without knowing.
Then it stopped raining for a bit, and my mom was like, well, since you're already outside, and your car's outside, go buy me water. So I went to Vons and filled up two 5-gallon bottles of water. Turns out I didn't tighten the cap tight enough on one of them.. guess what happened when I went downhill and it tipped over..
I ended up having half of one of the bottles pour into my car. Half of it ended up where the spare tire was.. the other half ended up on the rear seats and the rear foot space. So I had a wonderful little puddle in the backseat. Oh, and I have rear foot AC vents, and they got flooded with water.
So I spent the rest of the afternoon getting the water out of my car. It was easy enough getting it out of the trunk, just removed the spare and dumped out the water. Getting it out of the carpet and rear vents was another story..
I ended up geting rags and soaking them in the water, then wringing them dry. Repeat many times. After the rags stopped absorbing water, I used paper towels. Those commercials really are true, you can wring them dry and reuse them so many times. I also had tons of fun with the hairdryer... until it pooped out on me. Funny picture though, me, my laptop, and a hairdryer sitting in my car.
So now my car pretty much looks like this while it dries in the garage. I moved my mom's car into the hail to do this. haha. She's not too happy about it.
Oh, and the hood's popped open cause I disconnected my battery so the lights wouldn't stay on while I left everything open.

sick
Sucks.
I get tired pretty easily and throat hurts. Thankfully that's all so far *knocks on wood*.
Though, my mom sent me the funniest response through my sister in an IM.. saying, "GO SEE A DOCTER EAT MEDICINE DON'T BE STUPID AND DIE"
um. yeah. That's an overparanoid Asian parent for you.

happy
The weekend was fun. Not a great party Friday night, but fun nonetheless.
I also got some really really great sleep, and lots of it. No roommate is great :D Though, it is kinda quiet..
I'm also ahead in my work. Hopefully I'll stay ahead in work and when Valentines/President's day comes around, I can actually spend it not studying. =)
I also finally got the phone call I've been waiting for. It woke me up just in time for dinner too.
I have food! This is the first time in a very very long time I my meals worked out just right.
Physics midterm is curved! Not sure by how much, but any curve is better than no curve.

Oh, and I got two parking tickets, for $45 each.. both given by the same officer almost exactly 24 hours apart from each other. Now I know when the popo patrols parking lots. Of course, I'm appealing these. I appeal everything, cause I really have nothing better to do but tell you how poorly you do your job. Even more so cause this time I'm absolutely sure I'm not one bit at fault and I will escalate these tickets to the Superior courts if I have to. Fun stuff. But I moved my car anyways so I wouldn't get a 3rd ticket.. and if I do get a 3rd ticket I will go apeshit on parking services cause I'm actually parked where I've always parked for the past quarter.

calm after the storm
After the crappy start of the week, the rest of the week doesn't seem so bad..
I accidentally emptied my saving account into my brokerage account.. I only meant to stick in half of my savings, and did it twice. Oh, and the stock market took a hit today. Thankfully my brokerage account didn't lose value.. but now I'm poor cause my money is kinda stuck in there for a while. But it's a relief that it's not losing value.
I really don't have any homework for the rest of the week and next week. This gives me time to...
Sleep. I can take naps again. I still fall asleep in class though.. so it's really not caused by sleep deprivation.
Go out. I actually get to spend time outside of my room. Though being in my room isn't too bad either cause I'm roommate free for a weekend. Last time I was roommate free was for a night, and it was the best nights sleep I had in a long long time. Now I will have a whole weekend.
I also have time (a lot of time) to just relax, watch TV, and exercise.
Side story: I went out for a fundraising social... thingy. Some guy came up to us and asked for 50 cents for a cup of coffee. Since I had 50 cents in change and don't care too much for change, I gave it to him. In return, he gave me a sea shell. It's kinda pretty. Serves as an interesting souvenir.
Sure, its not a perfect day, but its nice in comparison.

craptastic week so far
Well. Midterms week started out well with a huge backlog of work from Chinese New Years Eve (學業近步 everyone) which wasn't even spent well. My mom got a 15 minute long dinner with me and my sister before we rushed back to finishing work.
My CNY money pretty much got wiped out by my credit card debt...and it took a chip outta my savings too. Horray for $200 textbooks.
My Chinese New Years was spent with three lovely ladies. :P Otherwise I would've spent it by myself staring blankly at my physics book. I was still hungry though. :(
My physics midterm did not go well. Everyone near me didn't seem to do so hot either, seeing how they all had different answers for everything, none of which looked remotely close to what the correct answers are (mine didn't look anything like the correct answer either, we're all sinking in the same boat together).
Happy note: I got my math quiz back, full points. Yay! Though like 90% of the quizzes I went through before finding mine also had a perfect score soo....
I have an essay to write. I am not happy. I do not like writing essays. My rough draft was completed 10 minutes before I left for class for it to be uselessly peer reviewed. Peer review is such a useless form of feedback. Not to mention that you'd think that people who passed out of writing 1 would be able to write better than.. what they're writing.
My physics discussion had the normal arrogant TA replaced with a very picky demanding also quite cocky substitute TA. I think I'm going to go back to my original discussion section. That TA was nice.
I got a few (yeah, more than one) blisters on my feet from flip flips. My hand got kinda cut up form something (I honestly did not even notice until the blood dried up).
A few other things have been floating around in the back of my mind too. I'm just going to lock them away and hope it doesn't turn into a tumor or something.

martin luther king jr. weekend update
I finally framed my horizontal formal pictures. It happens to be above where my head is when I sleep. Hopefully there's no earthquakes when I'm sleeping. I still think the bottommost picture is a horrible picture. Oh well. Good memory.
I washed my doggy! He's clean and fluffy now. Here's a random picture of him.
I finished repairing my subwoofer. Read here.
I washed my car (again)
Oh, and I forgot to bring my phone charger home
My mom got herself an iTouch. She gave me her old 3rd-gen 8GB nano... now I'm used to having 2GB that I only use half of.. time to figure out what to do with the other 6.5GB.... On a side note, writing Chinese on the touch is fun.
My bail refund finally came. My bank account is
